Insulsafe SP

Certainteed offers both Fiberglass Insulation as well as their CertraSpray Spray Polyurethane Foam.

Certainteed's Fiberglass Insulation is GreenGuard Certified. GREENGUARD Certified products provide people with independent assurance of IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) excellence while allowing developers, builders, and contractors to capitalize on the growing "Green Building" trend. Their high quality fiberglass comes in both Kraft Faced and Unfaced Batts. They also manufacture Insulsafe SP blowing wool which is used in both residential and commercial construction as a thermal and sound absorbing insulation.

Certainteed's SPF foam or Certraspray comes in either Open Cell 1/2Lb. or Closed Cell 2lb. By manufacturing both Open and Closed cell foam, virtually every kind of application is covered.

Certaspray's Closed Cell Foam has a high R-value per inch providing an outstanding thermal performance. Its rigidity provides added structural integrity to your walls and acts as a secondary moisture vapor barrier to help reduce the risk of moisture intrusion in the wall cavity.

Certaspray's Open Cell Foam provides excellent sound control from outside and inside the home.

Spray Foam Insulation

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is an insulation innovation that provides superior performance and advanced energy efficiency. It’s so effective that thinner applications can rival and exceed the performance of traditional insulation products.

Combining two liquid components at installation creates cellular spray foam that expands and fully adheres to surfaces. The spray foam offers superior insulating properties and effective air isolation.

Spray foam insulation requires an ignition or thermal barrier after installation to comply with International Building Code requirements. All fire protective requirements detailed within Section 2603.4 of the IBC are mandatory.

No matter what climate you are building in or the level of performance required, Johns Manville has a complete line of spray foam insulation to help improve the energy efficiency, performance and comfort of a structure.

Closed-cell

Closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is dense, durable insulation that provides superior thermal and air isolation performance, while strengthening the structure of a home and providing excellent energy savings.

Open-cell

Open-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is low-density, nonstructural insulation that offers a high yield while still providing great thermal and acoustical performance and good air isolation.

Formaldehyde-free™ Insulation Means a Safe, Healthy Home Environment

With growing concerns about formaldehyde as a toxic air contaminant often found at levels in excess of health-based guidelines, Johns Manville took the extraordinary step of introducing a complete line of Formaldehyde-free™ fiber glass insulation. These Formaldehyde-free™ insulation products deliver the superior thermal and acoustic performance you expect from home insulation, but at the same time promote a healthier indoor air quality.

There are over 45 million under-insulated homes in the United States. Both homeowners and the government are eager to turn things around to save on home energy costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. With the federal government, as well as states and counties, offering incentives to retrofit homes, the opportunities for insulation contractors and agencies have gone through the roof.

JM offers industry-leading solutions for retrofitting attics, walls, crawl spaces and more. JM products are easy to install, naturally mold and mildew resistant, and designed to offer the highest thermal effectiveness that will not degrade over the life of the home. Contractors, weatherization agencies and their customers should take comfort in knowing that they no longer need to settle for the retrofit products of the past that are difficult to install correctly, may degrade over time, offer a possible food source for mold and mildew, and require a significant amount of chemicals (as much as 20% by weight) to reduce potential fire hazards. By using Johns Manville products in your retrofit jobs, you will not only be delivering energy-efficient solutions to your customers, you will be delivering energy-efficient solutions that will last the life of the home.

As homeowners become more concerned about energy costs, indoor air quality and "green" building techniques, using JM Formaldehyde-free™ insulation lets you offer these important advantages:

  • Lower energy bills
  • Better indoor air quality
  • Control moisture
  • A safe, healthy home environment
  • Superior sound control
  • Environmental satisfaction with at least 25% recycled content

Only JM Has a Complete Line of Certified Formaldehyde-free™ Fiber Glass Building Insulation

Johns Manville insulation can provide homeowners with better indoor air quality and a healthier environment because it's made without formaldehyde. Surveys consistently show that consumers prefer products made without formaldehyde when given a choice.
